Leaving California…
Guess where I get to go for the long weekend?! Back to my hometown to see my family and my precious 6 nieces and nephews!! (Trust me, they’re REALLY precious. I want to eat them.) Then, as if that wasn’t great enough, we’re going to Chicago to see my KISA’s brother and my bff and her hubby. I am so excited I can hardly contain myself!
I will take pictures during my trip, but since it’s such a short trip with so many people to see I’m not certain when I’ll get a chance to post.
This was my outfit yesterday and inspiration. Today I’m working from home and wearing athletic shorts and a hoodie, so I’m guessing you all don’t care much about that ensemble. Oh, and in my next posting I’ll tell you why what you wear can be very important.
Tee: Gap; Scarf: H&M (this season); Jeans: Levi’s; Shoes: Nine West
Black and White
Here is the inspiration for my outfit on Monday.
Cardigan: Walmart brand; Shirt: Custom made in China; Jeans: Mango; Shoes: Nine West; Pearl necklace: China; Gold necklace: Kay Jewelers
Purple Blazer
During my shopping expedition in Napa, I also found this blazer. I love the color, I love blazers, and I love knit blazers. I found some inspiration and decided to pair it up with some festive stripes. I wandered into the kitchen after getting dressed and asked my KISA if I looked a little too trendy to train a Finance group. He told me that if I had to ask the question then the answer was probably yes. As I wandered back to the bedroom I realized I really didn’t care.
My inspiration:
Jacket: Loft Factory (this season); Tee: Zara (this season); Necklace: Urban Peach Boutique (this season); Belt: H&M (this season); Jeans: Mango; Shoes: Nine West
“Show” Attire
I’m not sure why, but if we’re going to a show I seem to have a hard time figuring out what I want to wear. I mean, what happens if Brandon Flowers wants me to come up on stage with him? I want to make sure I look good. Oh, and it gets really hot in there with hundreds of people with intense body heat, so you have to make sure to dress coolly. And you have to wear flats if you want to dance to all the words. (Well, you could wear heels, but you’ll be standing for a long time and I’m personally a wuss about that.)
Necklace: Banana Republic Factory; Shirt: Zara (this season); Belt: H&M (this season); Jeans: Mango; Shoes: Nine West
Stripes and…Leopard?
Yes ladies and gentlemen, you saw it here first. Or, if you’re on Pinterest or live in a city with a population above 10,000 maybe this isn’t your first time seeing it. I’m not sure why wearing print on print intimidates me, but it does. I like the idea of it, but have never felt comfortable trying to execute it. Well, that is until yesterday. I went a little tame and did the second print on my shoes so that it wasn’t super obvious. However, I have another point of inspiration for down the road that I may try in a future post. This was my pintrinspiration for my outfit.
Shoes: Nine West; Capris: Gap Factory (hemmed); Belt: Banana Republic Factory; Sweater: Gap
